Governors

Carlyle Infant School has an active governing body who work as a team to support pupils, staff and parents.

They meet as a full governing body each half-term with Committees meeting at least once a term.  Decisions such as approving the annual school budget, appointing new members of staff and approving the School Improvement Plan and policies are to name a few of the tasks they undertake.

The governors attend training and meetings held by the Local Authority and new governors are invited to attend Induction Training.

At their recent meeting the governing body have approved the new Absence Policy, various building works and redecoration in parts of the school.

Governors also help in many practical ways for example production of raised borders for gardening and the ongoing transformation of the school grounds via the Nat West Supergrounds Scheme lead by Vice-Chair Craig Pearson.
