Foundation Stage 

Our two nursery classes and two reception classes are together known as Foundation Stage. They work to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum which leads in to Key Stage One.

 

The areas of the curriculum are

• Personal Social and Emotional Development (learning to cooperate, share, follow rules, be responsible for our own actions etc)
• Communication, Language and Literacy (talking, listening, reading, writing)
• Mathematical Development (learning about shapes, numbers, patterns, problem solving)
• Knowledge and Understanding of the World ( history, geography, science, ICT, DT, food technology)
• Creative Development (art, music, singing, drama, painting)
• Physical Development (why we need to live healthy lifestyles, PE, games, dance)
