We are really excited to be introducing our Forest School programme to your children next week.
To ensure your child can fully participate in all the wonderful activities we have planned for them, please can you make sure they have suitable clothing in school on Wednesdays.
- long trousers (school are fine)
- coat that you don’t mind getting dirty
In addition if your child has waterproofs/all-in-one waterproofs, you are welcome to send them in (these will help protect trousers).
Forest School for your child will run every Wednesday until the Autumn half term holiday.
Unfortunately children who do not have the correct clothing /footwear in school risk not being able to participate. This is for health and safety reasons.
Thank you for your assistance, we hope your child really enjoys Forest School.

The Government have recently published an information leaflet and 2 videos for parents of children in years 2 and 6 about national curriculum assessments. The purpose of these materials is to help parents understand more about the end of key stage assessments that will be administered in primary schools in May.
They provide basic information about the purpose and format of the tests, how parents can best support their children and how results will be reported.
Year 2 school trip – The National Stone Centre
Please send all outstanding letters and payments in to school by Monday 19th March.
The Year 2 Active Maths Workshop that is scheduled for Friday 2nd Feb has unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the staff needing to attend a meeting with Derby City Council. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and will be in touch to reschedule this workshop.
Apologies, Year 2.
If your child is set to attend the visit to St Peter’s on Thursday 15th please collect your child from the main reception area between 1:15-1:30pm. Please let your child’s class teacher know that you will be attending the welcome afternoon by signing up at the classroom door before then.
Thank you, Mrs Ward and Mrs McNeil
